New Construction

Our team is committed to enhancing our clients’ most important investment by exceeding their lawn service needs. The goal was to keep it spacious and low maintenance, while keeping the pool as the focal point. For this project we incorporated stone and woodchips to break up the flow from the concrete decking. New sod, and a Texas shaped decor stone was added to complete the project.

Landscape Maintenance

The plants around the house were over-grown, and in desperate need of help.

The photos speak for themselves.  With another happy customer, and a house plain for all to see, the upkeep from this point on was much simpler, and the overall look – clean, and uncluttered!

sod yard with flagstone patio sitting area

Flagstone Sitting Area

Customer was looking to add a central sitting area, incorporating a fire-pit area, a possible (future) grilling area, with room to relax and enjoy the incredible yard they have.

The project in size and scope grew after the initial layout was completed, as the size of the sitting area was increased. This was not a problem, as constant communication was in place, as well as proper change request documentation.

Work began with grading and weed-control cloth being laid, followed by a leveling bed of crushed limestone. a natural grade was put in place so that water would drain properly, all encompassed by metal edging.

Over 18 tons of flagstone was meticulously hand-placed – stone by stone by a group of landscapers. The fire pit ring was put in place with surrounding stones built around it to create a great central focal spot. Crushed granite was brought in and “cemented” in to complete the sitting area.

Bermuda sod was laid, from the back of the house down to the sitting area, with a flagstone walking path leading from the house to the sitting area. Flower/plant beds were put into place around the whole house.

I have to say, it was a tough project for Bryan, Shawn and Bob from Bruce’s Property Services, but I have to say, the results are very much, well, AWESOME!! We love the backyard now, from a great place to BBQ, to relaxing around the fire-pit.

Yard Landscaping

Some clients, and projects are a blank canvas!

The overall result is to match the wants, and needs of the client, as well as creating a design that also best compliments the house and yard.  This is where Bruce’s Property Services excels!

It was decided and designed with a clean, and classic look.  That look, topped off with 2″ – 4″ river cobble rock – was just what this property needed.  What great results!

Lindsay Project Completion

Retaining Wall & Patio

This project was completed in mid-June, in Lindsay, TX.
Work included 125′ French Drain, a 12×12 paver patio, with a rock face retaining wall.

Weather delays always play havoc with any installation – but typically, summer weather in N. Texas lends itself to on-going and continuing work.
The Techs worked thru, pushing to completion. The staggered stacking of the rock-wall lends itself into a pleasant pattern, and also took into consideration the contour of the property.

A French Drain was put in to help with drainage. An additional custom fire-pit will round off the patio are.
Additionally, 70 tons of loam was brought in and spread to help in the final grading.

The results are amazing and having great clients always helps! Thank you Scott & Melinda, from the whole crew!

New plants/edging/retaining wall

Walls & Edging

This was a typical simple, full-day job.

The customer wanted a cleaner, yet sturdy set of retaining walls built to replace existing, older timber walls.  In addition, we were able to trim the existing plants, plus we brought in additional plants to fill out the new bed areas created by the extended walls.

Not a huge set of challenges with this project.  As always, care is taken to minimize any disturbance to existing plants while performing this type of upgrade.  Careful design and implementation work was then done, resulting in a clean-efficient and beautiful “re-do” of the front of the house landscaping.
